Frequently Asked Questions

How big is each puzzle pieces?

All puzzles are made of the highest grade 6mm birch ply. Although the puzzle pieces vary in size they are on average  2" X 2". Some pieces will be larger than others, this allows some guest to leave a longer message and other guest to leave best wishes and sign their name.

Can I have my order delivered to a different address?

Yes, although all orders are sent to the PayPal address  unless otherwise requested. PayPal allows you to select a different delivery address as you make the payment but if there is a problem, please email me after you have made the payment with the correct delivery address.

Are the guest book puzzles only for weddings?

I have received orders for guest book puzzles to be used for a, baby shower, sweet 16, anniversary, birthday, family reunion, bar mitzvah / bat mitzvah, bridal shower, christening, retirement, graduation, etc.

What size puzzle will I need?

It is recommended that you order a puzzle with enough pieces for around 50 -60 % of your guests to sign, guest lists usually have a lot of couples and families which will often sign as one.  However, if you are debating about what size puzzle you will require to accommodate your guest list you have two options;

Buy a puzzle that is a bit bigger (60-80% of guest list) and get an artist to draw on any blank pieces that are left, e.g. champagne glasses, rings, portraits. I have seen this done and it looks fantastic.

Or alternatively,  buy a slightly smaller puzzle (35-50% of guest list) and purchase some additional pieces, i.e.; acorns, clouds, hearts, leafs, that you can keep to one side for standby should the puzzle be completed and you still have guests that wish to sign.

How do I ensure guests sign the correct side of the puzzle?

Each puzzle will come with a set of stickers that you can place on the back side of the puzzle, so that guests know which side to sign. The puzzle will arrive completed in the gift box.  Flip over the gift box  and open it with the puzzle face down and place the stickers on each piece. Once finished, just turn the box back the right way round and the stickers shouldn't be visible.

Can  both sides of the puzzle signed?

I select the best face for the front of the puzzle but the back side of the puzzle has a quality finish too. The reverse side is suitable for guests to sign with some customers having  used the reverse side on different occasions, i.e. for their engagement or anniversary.

What if I need a puzzle made in a hurry?

I am able to accept rush orders. A rush fee will apply. If you are interested in a rush order Please contact me

How do I use the puzzle?

Customers will often place their puzzle in a prominent place that will be accessible to guests, with maybe a poem or photo booth props alongside it to entice the guests to that area.

There are a number of options to display and use your puzzle during special occasions.

Option 1:

You can choose to keep your puzzle fully assembled.

Guests can then use the pens provided and sign each piece.

Option 2:

The puzzle could be disassembled with the pieces  in a basket or container.

Guests take a piece and sign the correct side, using the pens provided.

Guests place signed piece into alternate container.

Using the puzzle template provided, recipients  of puzzle have joy of putting it back together whilst reading all the wonderful messages.

Option 3:

As in option 2, the puzzle is dissembled.

However, each guest is provided with a puzzle piece at their place setting or as they arrive to the special occasion.

They may have even been posted as part of the wedding invitation and brought along with them.

Guests can then take it to the  puzzle table and use the pens provided and place in provided container.

Can other pens be used?

We have researched and tested a vast range of pens and have found that the ones we provide in our gift box are perfect ensuring messages are clear and readable.

We strongly recommend that if you do wish to try other pens, that you experiment with the scraps of wood provided with your puzzle. Some types of pens bleed and smudge creating a blurred messages.
